The best surveys for money
There are many ways to make money online. Taking surveys for money is probably one of the easiest, but time-consuming ways to make money online. Even minimum wage jobs will pay you more per hour than surveys. However, the nice thing about surveys is that you can do them anytime in the day. You are not committing yourself to any set schedules and you can do them anywhere. In fact, if you’re going to do surveys, I suggest you bunch it together with other activities such as Netflixing (though what you watch can’t be too intense otherwise you’ll never get through the survey!).
We suggest that you sign up for all the survey sites upfront as many of these sites will only give you one or two quality surveys. So if you really want to use surveys as a way to make some extra money, sign up for them all at once and you’ll be set.
That said, there are dozens, if not hundreds of survey sites out there. Some of them will pay you cash. Most of them will pay you in points, where you’ll have to redeem for gift cards or other rewards. Some of them will even have draws for you to participate in.
There are also sites that have a bad reputation, so we’ve done our best to filter those out to give you the list of the best surveys for money in Canada.

Surveys that pay you to sign up
Daily Rewards will give you $5 right away after signing up. They are also one of the few companies that will only give you cash back (via PayPal) once you hit their threshold of $30.
The nice thing about Daily Rewards is that there are multiple ways to earn cash back. You can take surveys (which are typically over $1 each), you can watch videos, you can play games and you can even sign up for free samples.
Similar to DailyRewards, MyPoints will also give you $5. The difference is that you will get it after you complete 5 surveys.
A neat thing that makes MyPoints stick out is their coupon section. They will give you coupons that you can print and once you redeem them, they will credit your account with points!
MyPoints offers you the ability to convert your points into various gift cards. However, if you would like cash via PayPal, it will cost you 4200 points for $25; which is the equivalent of $1 being worth 168 points.
Surveys that pay cash
Now that we’ve covered the sites that will pay you cash for signing up, let’s look at the next best alternative: surveys that will only pay you cash. The kicker? These guys pay in USD – that means it’s about 130% once you convert it to CAD!
After signing up for OpinionPlus and filling out their initial survey, they will credit you with 200 points.
What’s really nice about OpinionPlus is that they will automatically cash you out for $10US after you hit 1000 points.
Unfortunately, we didn’t qualify for any outstanding surveys after we signed up so we can’t show you what each survey is worth.
Vindale Research is another site that will only give you cash back. In USD. After you complete their initial survey to get to know you a bit better, you will be given $2. Then it’s up to you to fill out the surveys you want to get yourself up to the $50 mark, where you can then request them to pay you via PayPal.
Surveys that pay in Canadian dollars and giftcards
Web Perspective is one of the few sites that do not offer any cash back via PayPal. They have a few different gift cards that you can redeem, but the best deal is their Cineplex admit one voucher that goes for 1000 points. Since a general admission is $15, this makes each point worth $0.015, or 1.5%.
Toluna uses really big numbers (as you can see from the point value of each of their survey). Their requirements for cashing out is equally high, requiring you 60,000 points to get a $20 PayPal payment. To translate their points into a cash value, it is about 30 points for $0.01.
Toluna also has a testing product section so if you sign up, make sure you check that out!
Opinion Outpost only offers cash, but it is in CAD. Also, they aren’t very clear on how many points each survey is worth. However, we’ve heard some good things about the site!
VIP Voice Canada
VIP Voice is the only survey site that doesn’t have the ability for you to redeem your points for cash or gift cards. Instead, you’re able to use your points to bid on different items such as gift cards and other merchandise. You can also use your points to enter into draws for vacations.
Some people have said that you can run into surveys that will pay you $25 in cash, but that is not something we have confirmed ourselves.
Surveys that have a good reputation but we did not qualify when we signed up
These sites are probably looking for a specific demographic that we did not pass, so we cannot tell you what their points and payout structure are like.
If you do sign up, please let us know so we can update everyone accordingly!
Doing surveys can be a great way to make money while relaxing. However, a better way to have more money is to optimize your financial accounts so that you are actually getting paid (as opposed to being the one to pay the fee).
Also, there are better ways to make more money with your time and to make it on your schedule. Sign up for our newsletter to be the first one to know when those articles come out!
